LAW 6046 :
Law and Literature

In this course, we will explore how society views justice, the law and lawyers by examining literary and scholarly works. We will start with an introduction to law and literature from a scholarly perspective and then read, analyze and discuss fiction, non-fiction and drama (and view one film) that portray legal and moral issues, the legal system and lawyers.</p> Students will be required to write a substantial scholarly research paper. Evaluation will be based primarily on the quality of the final paper and the satisfactory performance and timely completion of milestone assignments for the paper (e.g. abstract, critical bibliography and draft.)
