Counseling Center

The University Counseling Center, located on the Main Floor of the Health Services Building, offers psychological counseling, groups, consultation, and referral. Appointments are usually required and can be scheduled online, by phone 610-519-4050 or by visiting the Center. There are some limited same day appointments available for urgent concerns.

Some examples of services are:

• Psychological Counseling. Students can discuss personal concerns in a private, confidential setting. Individual and group counseling sessions are available. All contacts are confidential and are not recorded on the student's university records. Masters and Doctoral level clinicians help students with issues such as: depression; anxiety; relationship concerns; eating disorders; trauma; self- defeating behaviors; adhd; family issues; and other problems.

• Substance Use Counseling. Students who are concerned about their use of alcohol or other drugs are encouraged to seek help.  Support around gambling is also available.

• Consultation regarding other individuals. Students who are concerned about a family member, friend, or fellow student, may also consult the Counseling Center staff about how best to support that person.

• Referrals are provided for students who prefer to obtain off-campus counseling, or whose counseling needs exceed the capacity of the Counseling Center.

• Integrative Care Team is a multidisciplinary team in the Health Servies building that supports students with disordered eating concerns.

•ADHD/Mental Health Assessment.  Assessment is available for students who may have ADHD or other mental health concerns that interfere with their learning and quality of life.

•UWill is a third-party vendor that offers 24/7 telehealth counseling for students. It is free and confidential.
